Room For Rent (Noelle Ihli)
Book Review
Overview:
Nya had moved into a rundown rental house with her peculiar roommate-of-necessity, Sidney, a few months ago, and things had quickly gone downhill.
The dilapidated rental house seemed adequate at first, but now someone is pilfering her food, rattling her bedroom doorknob, and rummaging through her belongings.
Nya’s only affordable housing option is a terrifying rental house. She plans to escape after finishing her final semester of college in a few months, but the sinister mind games have only just begun. She soon realizes that her physical safety, and even her life, may be in danger.
The truth is more horrifying than Nya could have ever imagined. As the situation rapidly deteriorates, she realizes with dread that surviving the night may no longer be a possibility.
Anyone who has had a problematic roommate would find this relatable. It was a good and addictive thrill ride that made me a bit paranoid about what could possibly happen in my own home, only then I realized that I have no roommate and no basement, LOL!
It was a fast-paced and easy-to-read book. It was a bit predictable but still, I enjoyed the thrill that this book gave me from the first chapter up to the very end. It’s also generous of the author to add a short story at the end. It’s a good way to sober up the reader after getting ‘book drunk’. I loved it, would recommend it, and I’ll definitely buy more books by Noelle Ihli.
