Cons:
πͺ A BIT PREDICTABLE. I don't know if it's me who decoded the twist that early or the author might have given it too soon. The moment that it's mentioned it's Alice who is the old rich and not the stepfather, my speculation was fixed. I even guessed it correctly who he was having an affair with.
πͺ The third person POV is a bit tedious and I almost got lost in several chapters.
πͺ Too many unnecessary dialogues. Super slow burn.
πͺ I didn't have enough connection with the characters. I find them under-established.
Pros:
π©Έ Nonetheless, the book has that motivating factor that made me continue and finish it.
π©Έ At least the ending was satisfying.
π©Έ This is for you if you're a fan of novels with 3rd person POV, and if you're a slow reader.
Bottomline: This book is like a cheating partner. All the pieces of evidence are laid out but the cheating party just couldn't grow a pair to admit the infidelity. That was the vibe it gave me while reading it because I knew my speculations were right from the beginning, but the author just couldn't surrender the truth. πβπ»
