The Drowning Woman
🔍 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 📖
When I read the synopsis, I knew right away that this book was good and that I would love it. It feels great to try reading books from excellent authors and yet not that overhyped! All the more they take readers by surprise when they present a bunch of unexpected plot twists.
Harding's work is incredibly creative and twisty. I know thriller readers who have watched and read true crime series/books for decades now, it’s a bit difficult for us to get pleased in terms of the storyline. It has to be unique, enticing, and unputdownable, and that would disturb us (at least me) for several days (disturb in a good way).
It was easy to connect with the characters. The storyline has layers of complexity and baffling parts. I could see Victoria Pedretti and Kat Dennings playing the roles of Lee and Hazel if this is made into a movie in the future. One of the best reads for me in 2023.
