a few spoilers)🔎
⭐⭐⭐.5/5
Freida McFadden is a best selling psychological thriller author, originally hails from New York, and a practicing physician specializing in brain injury.
She lives with her family and a black cat in a centuries-old three-story home overlooking the ocean.
Known for her bestseller books such as The Housemaid, The Housemaid's Secret, The Wife Upstairs, etc.
Things I like about The Locked Door:
💉 The author never fails to incorporate unexpected twists especially in the last 30% of the book.
💉 I would always feel a bit of a separation anxiety when I'm about to finish the book. The characters have unique qualities you either love or hate.
💉 There's always that HOOK in the beginning of the story that makes it unputdownable.
💉 The cat. Caaaaat!!!
Things that didn't completely work for me:
🩸How the ex fabricated stories that were really annoying.
🩸Okay, I get it, Brady was just a short-term flame but you will never forget a person you got involved with just like that especially if you have a sharp memory IMO.
